Look for our organially grown herb plants coming in April and May.  We will be offering a wide selectioin of rare and hard to find herb and spice plants.  Our plants are started from organic seed, planted in organic soil, and grown in organic pots.  We use 100% organic fertilizer and absolutely no pesticides!!  All of our plants come to you in 3 inch pots, ready to be transplanted to your herb garden, or to be used as a houseplant.  We are excited about some of the plants we will have to offer and we think you will be too.  As our plants mature, we will add them to our product list, along with the growing instructions.  We hope to see you in April for the start of a wonderful growing season!!  We also anticipate being able to bring you gourmet herbal vinegars made from the plants we grow.  We have enjoyed them and now we want to share them with you.

  Different herbs require different care and growing environments, but as a rule, these guidlines should be followed.

1.  Most herb plants should be grown in rich, but well drained soils.  There are some herbs that grow in sand and poor soil, but as a rule most of our plants should be grown in a combination of compost, soil, and sharp sand.

2.  Water your herbs sparingly.  Waterlogging your herbs will cause them to do poorly and in some cases, die.

3. Use fertilizer sparingly.  While it is ok to use some fertilizer on young plants to help them adjust to their new environment, over fertlizing them will cause faster growth which lessens the amount of oils in the leaves which decreases the strength.

4.  Cut back your herbs in the first month or so for better growth.  Cutting them back helps them grow fuller and produce more herbs for your enjoyment!!
